Fallout 3 refused classification in Australia

It seems that Australia’s Office of Film and Literature Classification has refused to give Fallout 3 a rating, due to drug use within the game.  In effect, this will ban the game from sale in Australia unless a modified version is resubmitted.  Chances are this means New Zealand will be stuck with whatever hobbled version of the game that Bethesda manage to squeeze past the Australian game nazis, just like Grand Theft Auto 4.

As one commenter on Kotaku put it, “for a country that started out as a massive prison, the Aussies are pretty uptight.”
